Items on display in this case are on loan from the Institute of Child Nutrition’s Child Nutrition Archives.
In 2003 the United States Congress provided funds to establish the Child Nutrition Archives at the Institute of Child Nutrition located at the University of Mississippi in Oxford. The Mission of the Child Nutrition Archives is to collect, preserve, and make available to researchers, collections concerning the federally assisted child nutrition programs.
The Institute of Child Nutrition (ICN), part of the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Mississippi, is the only federally funded national center devoted to applied research, education and training, and technical assistance for child nutrition programs. The Institute was established by Congress in the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 1989.
