Whether traveling for business or pleasure, sending a postcard to loved ones at home is a pastime of many world travelers. This case features some of the more remarkable postcards from our holdings, as well as travel-related ephemera, such as tickets and souvenirs.

The scenic black-and-white postcards of Ventimiglia and Monte-Carlo belong to the Allan Boyce Adams Collection. Adams sent these postcards to his mother, Evie, in Claremont, Mississippi while he was stationed in Europe with the 42nd Rainbow Division during World War I.
Henry Minor Faser, Jr. and his wife, Hester, embarked on many international vacations during the early-to-mid-twentieth century. The itinerary book on display includes plans for a 1964 trip that includes destinations such as Crete, Bangkok, and Honolulu.
The postcard of Notre-Dame, while never sent, includes a handwritten inscription by Willie Morris, detailing his visit to Paris.
"Notre Dame Cathedral, on an island in the Seine. Saw this Wednesday -- ate lunch in the garden."
