Nestled between BTC Grocery and the Warren Building on Water Valley’s Main Street, the Violet Valley Bookstore makes feminist, queer, and multicultural books available to the Water Valley community, the state of Mississippi, and the South. Established in 2017 by Dr. Jamie Harker, Violet Valley is Mississippi's only queer, feminist, transinclusive bookstore. It carries used books covering an array of topics, along with a of new books featuring feminist and LGBTQ authors, and is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit.
