Lavender Graduation

Lavender Graduation is a cultural celebration that recognizes LGBTQIA+ students and acknowledges their achievements and contributions to the university as students who successfully navigated the college experience. Lavender Graduation is an event where LGBTQIA+ graduates receive lavender cords and are officially recognized by the institution for their leadership, successes, and achievements. The inaugural Lavender Graduation Ceremony at the University of Mississippi took place on Friday, May 6th, 2016, with twelve student honorees.

Note: There was no Lavender Graduation ceremony held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
