New Orleans Feb 28th Dear Pa I received [illegible word] letter by Mr. [Klun] [three illegible words] made me feel very much worried by telling me of not receiving any letters. I have written by the Grey Eagle. I see by Grand Ma's letter that she has not improved much I will send her bonet by Mr. [Goodrich] Miss Lee thinks that will be the safest way. I hope for the six months to come to a end so I can come home. I have heard this evening that a box is on the Grey Eagle or Mr. Pilcher office Mr. G says he will attend to it tomorrow. Uncle and Aunt are well he says he saw Mr. [Defrance] who told him you were well. Ma writes to take my letters to Mr. Pilcher but he is so [uncomactating] to every body I don't like to bother him. I hope you will receive this letter as I have written so many letters and you all say you don't receive them all are well. Miss Lee got towe letters from the Dr. he was about leaving I went to see coz Sally once. Coz. James wife married a preacher about a year after coz James death.
