Providence La Aug 2nd 1892 Mr. F.R. Bernard Dear Sire & Bro At the last regular meeting of Providence Lodge No 28, K of P the following Resolutions were adopted. Whereas the Supreme Ruler of our destinies has allowed death to again enter the household of our friend and brother Knight F.R. Bernard was removed from our midst his venerable and respected mother. Be it resolved that we recognize the long life of Mrs. Sarah G. Bernard, a life full of good deeds; that her true womanly and christian character has daily exemplified to us the beauties of a noble womanhood; that in her death we feel that society has lost an ornament, the community, a valued and respected member; and the Church, a faithful and conscientious devotee. Resolved, that we hereby tender our brother Knight and his family our sincere and profound sympathy in their bereavement, and that we indulge the hope that they may find comfort in their sorrow, in the thought that as her life was full of gentleness and goodness; she now enjoys the reward of the good and faithful servant of the Lord in a happy reunion with loved ones gone before. Resolved, that these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this Lodge, and that the Keeper of Records and Seal, furnish a copy of these resolutions to our brother Knight F.R. Bernard and his family. Respectfully submitted in [illegible words] J.W. Dunn Wm N White C.S. Wyly Committee
