Abstract

Billy gets hired by the great Otis Rush in 1966 after a spur of the moment chance encounter audition in an almost empty bar called Mother Blues. Otis decides to take Billy under his wing and become his mentor for years to follow. They explore and play Chicago's South side dive bars together leading up to later headlining the very first Ann Arbor Blues Festival with all the living Blues legends of 1969. (Time: 25:56)
