The 2016 Conference on the Civil War was hosted in partnership with the History Department’s annual Porter L. Fortune Symposium on History. This year’s conference considered Reconstruction and the aftermath of the Civil War in the United States, and Heather Cox Richardson (Boston College) delivered the keynote address.
