Description

Written 10 July 1862 as a reminiscence, Thomas describes his experience in the Battle of Shiloh extensively; also discusses his journey from the night before departure from Mississippi through camp in Tennessee and arrival in Corinth. Mentions the conditions of the camp, provisions, daily activities, set up of tents, building fortifications.
