Description

Engel writes from New York, thanking Creekmore for the news about Hamlet and Engel's mother. He thanks Creekmore for the words about Macbeth. Engel says that Walter Slezak has been ill and he thinks Slezak's understudy is unsatisfactory. He says that he had lunch with Jesse Lee and Daniel de Guzaman. Engel is working on an adapting a Roald Dahl story into an opera called 'The Soldier.' Includes envelope.
