Hubert writes from New York City on New Directions Publishing Corporation letterhead to his parents in Jackson, Mississippi, regarding his experiences at New Directions and James Laughlin's and Tony Bower's trip to Switzerland. Oscar Williams asked Creekmore to edit "Little Treasury of Great Translations of Poetry" for [Charles] Scribner's [Sons]. He mentions Nash K. Burger of the New York Times Book Review and Bob and Kathleen Gilmore. He saw theatrical productions of "Happy Birthday" with Helen Hayes, "Peter Grimes," "Mister Roberts," Medea" with Judith Anderson, "Shoeshine," and "Torment." Includes envelope.
