Description
Hubert writes from New York City to his mother in Jackson Mississippi, regarding personal and professional matters. He writes of his job search, as well as a recent reading of his poetry at the home of Mrs. Sharp. He writes of a recent meeting with agent, Carol Brandt, to discuss possible projects and his novel. He references feedback from John Schaffner about his book. Hubert had dinner with Lehman Engel and also mentiones a "show plane" coming in April which features The Ponder Heart and other Mississippi plays. He asks after Walter [Walter Welty] and mentions the housing market.
