Abstract
As a result of the severe storms expected in the Oxford area this evening, the University of Mississippi will close at noon today. Unfortunately, this means that Imani Perry's lecture at 6:30 p.m. and the opening night party at 7:30 p.m. are canceled. The conference will resume as scheduled Thursday, March 31 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with Kate Clifford Larson ("Walk with Me: A Biography of Fannie Lou Hamer") in conversation with Ted Ownby in the Overby Center for Southern Journalism and Politics.
