Abstract
Musician, former editor of zines, current editor of The Local Voice, parent, and Mississippi native Newt Rayburn recounts his life up until now by focusing on how “Punk” shaped his legacy. Newt recounts in this film how he was brought up listening to all kinds of music but decided to pursue punk, not only by creating zines, some of which became known worldwide but by creating music for over two decades now. He describes the punk music scene in Mississippi and what has influenced his music, especially nowadays, under the constraints of the epidemic.
