Founded in 1989, the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute represents the legacies of two of the strongest champions for change in the history of our nation. In the early days of the Internet, the Winter Institute hosted the first iteration of the Evers Institute's website, including documentation and information about the 50th anniversary commemoration of the assassination of Medgar Evers.
