William M. "Fishbait" Miller served as Doorkeeper of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1949 to 1953 and from 1955 to 1974 (serving as Minority Doorkeeper from 1953 to 1955 when the Republican Party held the majority). The collection contains files related to his administrative post in Congress, as well as personal papers, photographs, recordings, and memorabilia.
