Description

Edward Carey Walthall rose to the rank of major general in the Confederate Army and represented Mississippi in the U.S. Senate from 1885-94 & 1895-98. The E.C. Walthall Collection contains family financial documents, correspondence, and clippings dating from 1834 to 1902.
