Melanie Ho (mdho@olemiss.edu) is a Vietnamese American filmmaker and writer with roots in Florida. Her work focuses on trauma, familial relationships, gender, displacement, and intimacy. She is currently a director/producer at the University of Mississippi’s Southern Documentary Project (SouthDocs), creating intentional storytelling in the South. Mel is a NeXt Doc Fellow and Gotham/HBO Documentary Development Initiative Fellow.
