"My work focuses on the ever-changing effects of the natural world. I am interested in creating an essence of these experiences, as I know them. For me, it is important to bring the magic of the past to life once again throught the beauty of color, relationships and emotion. I choose to paint in an abstract manner, which brings more attention to my emotive response rather than a depictive place. I use metaphors in the forms for familiar characteristics of the landscape, which places the viewers into the center of the unexpected experience. It is my hope that the emotional and mysterious quality of my work encourages viewers to question their sense of balances within the environment."
