Abstract
This thesis describes alumni donor behaviors for University of Mississippi double-alumni married couples and analyzes those behaviors through the lens of gender. I used data from the University of Mississippi Foundation databases. A subsequent review of scholarly literature dealing with gender and philanthropy gave additional context for analyzing results. These analyses showed a considerable tendency for UM double-alumni households to favor males’ schools across multiple variables and the presence of household bargaining is strongly indicated.
