A collection of print books and DVDs from one of Hollywood's most beloved eras: the screwball comedies of the 1930s and 40s. A precursor to today's Romantic Comedies, screwball comedies -- such as It Happened One Night, The Philadelphia Story, and His Girl Friday -- are known for their clever dialogue and female-driven plots, in sharp contrast to the slapstick comedies of the same era, popularized by the Marx Brothers and The Three Stooges.
