Stennis on Eastland; Eastland discusses how voting for Republicans would decrease the power of the Mississippi delegation because of the loss of seniority, his relationship with the president, Jamie L. Whitten's seniority on the House Appropriations Committee, John C. Stennis as chair of Military Affairs Committee, Eastland as President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate and chairman of the Judiciary Committee, the U.S. Supreme Court, and Eastland's seniority on the Agriculture Committee.
