ABC News "Washington This Week" hosted by Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts with news analyists George Will, George Stephanopoulos, and Bill Kristol. Reverenc Jesse Jackson, Attorney John Coale, Newsweek Assistant Managing Editor Evan Thomas, and Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott interviewed. Topics discussed included: recent hate crime in Jasper, Texas resulting in the death of James Bryd, Jr.; Julie Hiatt-Steele's suit against Newsweek for quoting her on the Clintion sex scandal; the congressional agenda; the tobacco bill; President Bill Clinton's up-coming trip to China; ethnic cleansing in Kosovo; national security; Republican leadership meeting in Iowa; and Southern Baptist Convention's resolution demanding wives submit to their husbands.
