Abstract: Wearable devices are increasingly used for tracking health, fitness, and even clinical recovery. The Apple Watch is among the most popular wearables due to its convenience, advanced features, and integration within the Apple ecosystem. It uses a combination of sensors (PPG, accelerometer, gyroscope) to measure heart rate (HR), energy expenditure (EE), and step count (steps). While many studies have evaluated its accuracy across various populations and activities, results have been mixed and sometimes inconsistent. Therefore, this study presents a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the accuracy of the Apple Watch in measuring key health metrics across diverse conditions.
