Abstract: Modern immigrants to the U.S. Southwest have better health than locals but lose the health advantage over time. This has also been observed in different immigrant populations in Canada and Australia. One reason may be selective migration. Can we see selective migration archaeologically? Are Lower Dover polity migrants healthier as children, but unhealthier as adults than locals?
