Abstract: Geometric design guidance varies from state to state on elements such as U-turn spacing which affects travel time, and loons which may be needed on sites with limited ROW. Current guidance is also out-of-date while research is limited. This research aims to provide guidance on geometric design of RCUTs and help determine where RCUTs are feasible alternatives.
