Abstract
Sue Gardner, a longtime media and technology executive, is the former Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation and former head of CBC.CA, the website of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She is currently an advisor to, or board member with, a number of technology and media organizations, including Global Voices, the Wiki Ed Foundation, and Privacy International. The program was sponsored by the University of Mississippi Digital Media Studies, the Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies, and the Meek School of Journalism and New Media.
