Amanda Daniels is an attorney, and the current president of PFLAG-Tupelo, an LGBTQ+ ally group in Tupelo, Mississippi. Daniels discusses her journey as an ally and why she is passionate about advocating on behalf of the LGBTQ community. Despite her strict Catholic upbringing, Daniels recalls always feeling unaligned with anti-Gay messaging she recieved in church. She discusses PFLAG’s role in the Tupelo Pride, and the reception it received. In addition, Daniels discusses best practices in providing folks with the necessary resources to adequately support their LGBTQ relatives and friends.
