Description
The prognosis of patients with head & neck squamous cell carcinoma is dismal in part because of the presence of therapy resistant cancer stem cells (CSCs). We demonstrated that pre-treatment with BITC sensitized HNSCC-CSCs to the effects of chemo-radiation. (Linda L. Eastham is a Research Scientist in the Department of BioMedical Sciences and the National Center for Natural Products Research at the University of Mississippi.)
