Episode 3 guests: Catarina Passidomo, Associate Professor of Anthropology and Southern Studies talks about her work with the Southern Foodways Alliance, which uses food as a pathway to understanding social issues; John Martin, owner of Oxford's Chicory Market, which opened in 2017 in a space historically used for bringing local items to market, selling both produce with specialty items; Frankie Barrett, a recent UM graduate in Southern Studies who wrote her thesis project about Food Deserts and Dollar Stores; and Chloe Grant, student director of Grove Grocery, an initiative on campus that addresses issues of food insecurity for students, staff, and faculty.
