Abstract
"Sanctuary" is a sonic experience that explores the climate change-induced migrations of the Mississippi Delta bird species. This contemplative space creates a convergence of jazz technology and nature’s symphony, where audiences are invited to reflect on the balance of our natural world and the need for ecological harmony. Frewuhn is an international multidisciplinary artist whose performances explore devotion across time and space. Her background in History, and Theological Studies, frame her explorations into the maelstrom of improvisation and the human experience. Based in Houston, Texas, Jennifer Swanner is a voice actor, singer, and songwriter driven by a profound love for music and nature’s mindfulness. She possesses a unique sensitivity to vibrations and frequencies, facilitating deep connections through her work. Tyler Swanner is an artist and designer based in Houston, Texas, who intertwines his design expertise with a passion for intuitive musical improvisation. His research delves into the metaphysical aspects of improvisational performances in sacred spaces, while he actively performs and composes globally.
