Abstract

Gamulation is the practice of using games and simulations to improve teaching and learning, specifically in the workplace. Wouldn’t work be a better place for most of us if we were having more fun? “When you marry traditional learning with gamulation, you revolutionize the way people learn, the way people interact, and the way people lead at work. Employees across the board will be happier for it and businesses have a higher chance of thriving from it. Gamulation sparks engagement, connection, and innovation, while making work seriously fun.” Mentored by my grandfather (a direct disciple of Gandhi), I have been in leadership positions, empowering groups and organizations, and leading change, since the age of 16 when I was appointed Young Women’s Leader for an international lay Buddhist organization. Through these early experiences, plus 20+ years of experience training business leaders in industries ranging from Sports, Healthcare and Entertainment, to Banking and Technology, I founded Global Impact Systems to enable leaders to drive change and and nurture world-class performance within themselves and their talent... easily and effortlessly. Through a process known as Gamulation, I help improve engagement, retention of information learning, and implementation of lessons learned. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
