Tupelo Pride, 2023: Voices

These VOICES were recorded during Tupelo Pride 2023, held at Fair Park in Tupelo, Mississippi on September 30, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Queer Mississippi was represented between two tables: one from UM's Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies and a second from Sarah Schnaithman, a Mississippi-licensed bilingual attorney. Two graduate students in Sociology and an assistant professor of Sociology recorded brief interviews with passersby, asking how they felt about being at Pride and an additional question chosen from a fishbowl.
