Abstract
JACKSON, Miss. - Sally McDonnell Barksdale, 60 - who with her husband started the McDonnell-Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi, established a minority scholarship program for medical students at the UM Medical Center, and endowed the Barksdale Reading Institute - died this morning of cancer.
