Abstract
OXFORD, Miss. - Knowing firsthand the value of private funding in education, a former chair of the University of Mississippi's Department of Mathematics has given $300,000 for student scholarships and faculty research. Roy Sheffield and his wife, Reda, of Dorsey recently visited the Oxford campus to deliver the gift and attend a reception in their honor.
