Abstract

In Zimbabwe, nothing grows in the dry season. The heat is relentless, and the parched, cracked earth seems to cry out for rain. But it was there five years ago, in the scant shade of an acacia tree, that an abandoned baby girl's screams stirred up a string of events and emotions that would forever change the lives of University of Mississippi alumnus Neely Tucker (BA '86) and his wife, Vita.
