Abstract
OXFORD, Miss. – Former Mississippi Gov. Ray Mabus was 13 years old the first time he journeyed to the Middle East, including to Egypt, Lebanon and Iran. During his childhood, he traveled abroad many other times with his father, and he later served as U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia under President Bill Clinton.
