Abstract

(l-r) Stacy Malone, an AmeriCorp VISTA member, helps University of Mississippi senior Tymingie Flowers of Batesville and sophomore Christopher Brooks of Starkville prepare food baskets for needy Lafayette County families Friday morning in the Student Union ballroom. UM faculty, staff and students donated enough food and money for 76 Thanksgiving dinner baskets as part of the Mississippi Universities Service into Caring program. The baskets, which contain canned and dry goods, and a supermarket gift card to buy perishable items, are being delivered today.
