Abstract
Apart from the striking up-close photographs and videos of devastation in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand, satellite images have provided some of the most fascinating perspectives of the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. Private satellite imaging firms and government agencies have been inundated with requests for images depicting the changes in the South Asian landscape.
