Abstract

Members of the University of Mississippi's 2005 senior class unveil a gift to their alma mater, a monument on the front lawn of the Lyceum containing the words of the school's creed. The creed, which was adopted in 2003 and has since been incorporated into all areas of campus life, pledges UM students, faculty, staff and alumni to such values as respect, civility, integrity and honesty. Members of the 2005 senior class said they wanted to give back to the school a permanent reminder of those values for which the university stands. Participating in the Thursday dedication ceremony are (left to right) UM Foundation representatives Ted Smith and Jennifer Traylor; 2005 Senior Class President Taylor McNeel; 2005 senior class members David Donaldson and Tyce Young; and Dean of Students Thomas J. Reardon.
