Abstract

OXFORD, Miss. - Activist and writer Luong Ung returns to the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi August 20 to discuss her memoir, "Lucky Child" (Harper Collins, 2005), her second book about her plight to survive after the Khmer Rouge stormed Phnon Phen, Cambodia, in 1975 and ultimately killed her parents and several siblings.
