Abstract

OXFORD, Miss. - Jambalaya in Vermont? Jazz in Texas? Yat in Utah? Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, forcing tens of thousands to relocate across the United States. The migration required hurricane evacuees to take what possessions they could, including recipes, music and dialects.
