Abstract

The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra has stood the test of time reaching back to the 1930s with its big band music and hit songs such as "Green Eyes," "Amapoa," "Tangerine" and "I Understand." The popular group takes the stage April 28 at the University of Mississippi's Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. The 8 p.m. concert kicks off Oxford's 11th annual Double Decker Arts Festival, scheduled April 29.
