Abstract

Charlotte Oakley, registered dietitian and fellow of the American Dietetic Association, is available to discuss issues related to the recent ruling by the State Board of Education to delay banning some soft drinks in school vending machines until 2009. Oakley is in her fourth year as head of the University of Mississippi's National Food Service Management Institute, which serves the nation as a catalyst for the continuous improvement of child nutrition programs and services, including those in schools.
