Abstract
OXFORD, Miss. -- A pioneer in developing the new field of disability studies in the humanities and women's studies delivers the 12th annual Lucy Somerville Howorth Lecture Thursday, Oct. 26, at the University of Mississippi. Rosemarie Garland-Thomson, associate professor of women's studies at Emory University, presents "Images of the Disabled in Popular Photography" at 7 p.m. in Johnson Commons ballroom. The free, public lecture is sponsored by the Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies.
