Abstract
A University of Mississippi law professor and his 17-year-old son have co-authored a chapter in the book "The Beatles and Philosophy" (Open Court Publishing Co., 2006). The contribution of Michael and Joseph Hoffheimer discusses the songs of Beatles member George Harrison and argues that Harrison's interest in Eastern philosophy added depth to the Beatles and helped change the course of Western popular culture. Michael Hoffheimer, who teaches criminal law and civil procedure, grew up during the Beatles' era. His son Joseph is a senior at Oxford High School.
