Abstract

OXFORD, Miss. - Each time Jill Faulkner Summers returned to her hometown during the past 20 years, she provided invaluable assistance in efforts to preserve her father's estate and legacy, University of Mississippi officials said this week. Services for Summers, 74, daughter of novelist William Faulkner, were Friday (May 2) in Charlottesville, Va., where she died last week after a lengthy illness.
