Abstract
UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- To many people the word "poison" is a very specific term used to identify substances such as arsenic, strychnine, cyanide, etc. In reality, almost any non-food item regardless of form (solid, liquid, or gas) can be a potential poison if it produces harmful or fatal effects when taken or used improperly, says Dr. Rachel Robinson, director of the Drug Information Center at The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy.
