Abstract
UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- You may not know that the French relish their chocolate buche de Noel or that Queen Elizabeth greets British subjects on the "telly" at 3 p.m. every Dec. 25 -- or that Germans fill children's shoes with oranges and nuts on Dec. 6., and the Swedes love their ham, herring and glogg, a spiced wine, at Christmastime.
