UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- John T. Edge, cookbook author and director of the Southern Foodways Alliance (SFA) at The University of Mississippi's Center for the Study of Southern Culture, is among a group of distinguished American chefs, restaurateurs, cookbook authors, journalists, broadcasters and restaurant designers nominated for the prestigious 2000 James Beard Foundation Awards.
